- Even though they are referred to as silk, most UV protected plants such as our UV protected grape ivy are made with combinations of plastic, polyester and wire
- Indoor-outdoor plants are designed to be tough to withstand the elements
- Sometimes UV plants will feel thicker and stiffer than other faux plants and flowers you are used to working with
- Occasionally dust your UV plants with a feather duster or cloth. You can also wash artificial plants under running water.
- If you are making a small arrangement in a traditional container, you’ll want to anchor your UV greenery in dry floral foam. Dry floral foam does not hold water and offers a sturdy base to hold your plants
- Cover your floral foam with dry moss or pebbles
- Or try “planting” your UV plants in a container of gravel
- Large UV plants and trees are installed in drop-ins. Drop-in is an industry term used to describe a bottom-weighted container
- Bottom weighted containers are designed to counter-balance top-heavy large plants and trees
- Bottom weighted uv plant containers are not decorative. You want to “drop” these into decorative containers and cover with moss or gravel
- Artificial greenery and stems ship flat. Be sure to bend and shape them on arrival
