- Most tropicals like our Faux Terracotta Phalaenopsis are made with combinations of plastic, polyester, and wire
- Artificial stems ship flat, but in most cases bendable into more realistic shapes
- Occasionally dust your stems with a feather duster. You can wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
- The base stems are sometimes thick and wood-like. Trim with sturdy wire cutters
- You’ll want to anchor your orchid plants in dry floral foam. For example, the brand name Sahara is made by Oasis. Dry floral foam does not hold water and offers a sturdy base to hold your plants
- You may hot glue your floral foam to your container interior, although if you’re not mailing or moving your arrangement, it’s not necessary
- Cover your floral foam with dry moss, pebbles, or bark
