FAQs, cleaning, and designing with branches and greenery:
- Even though they are referred to as silk, most artificial stems such as our artificial Ginkgo stem are made with combinations of plastic, polyester, and wire
- It may look exotic but filling a vase with a tall branch or two couldn’t be easier. And easy to swap out in the seasons from budding branches ready to bloom to all kinds of greenery in spring and summer.
- Use one to three branches depending on your space and the size of your vase.
- Occasionally dust your stems with a feather duster. You can wash artificial plants under trickling water, held upside down. Do not fully submerge in water.
- The base stems are overly long and sturdy. Feel free to trim the length with wire cutters
- If you are making a permanent floral arrangement in a traditional container, you’ll want to anchor your greenery in dry floral foam.
- Cover your floral foam with dry moss or pebbles
- Be creative. Feel free to cut, trim, and divide your stems into smaller parts. Sturdy wire cutters will work
- Artificial greenery and stems ship flat. You’ll want to bend and shape them on arrival
- A common design rule is to use quantities in odd numbers, such as 3, 5, and 7 stems per variety.
- Enjoy!
